Hi, I'm Corey Smith.
I am a husband, father, preacher, and teacher. I'm also a below average guitarist and a flat-out terrible tennis player (but I'll never give up!). And, like you, I've always loved hearing stories.
From a very young age, we love being read to or watching animated adventures. Our love of stories doesn't go away as we get older. Books, television, movies, and songs all seek to tell the kinds of stories we will want to hear. But I think the very best stories are the ones that intersect with the story God is telling - of the people he created who decided to try and carry on without him, and how he entered into his own story again, as a human, to show us the way to the ending we all want to see.
For a long time now, I've been taken in by the reality that my life and yours are books being written. Not day planner kinds of books that contain all the things we intend to do, but story books, complete with plots, conflicts, and characters who have to learn who they truly are before they can reach the ending (that's you and me).
Enstoried is a project born out of the desire to help people see themselves and the lives they lead as part of a bigger story - a story that begins in Genesis and is still being written every day. It's a story written by God and us. God is infinitely wonderful and good - no amount of words spoken or written could ever be sufficient to convey his worth - and yet, God has partnered with humans to explain who he is by allowing even himself to be enstoried in the pages of the Bible.
Can God take these hectic, broken lives of ours - the good parts and the bad - and make them into the greatest story anyone ever heard? In the words of someone who met God in person a long, long time ago, "Come and see."
